1965 Jeep CJ-5 Tuxedo Park
This 1965 Jeep CJ-5 is a Tuxedo Park model that is said to have spent its life on a ranch near Caldwell, Idaho.
A refurbishment in 2019 reportedly involved repainting the body in blue and the half-cab hardtop in white, reconditioning the blue upholstery, and performing electrical work as well as replacing the carburetor, battery, radiator, alternator, speedometer, exhaust, muffler,weatherstripping, and shocks.
The truck was repainted from white to Sierra Blue inside and out during the aforementioned refurbishment, while the removable Meyer Cabs half-cab metal hardtop was disassembled and refinished in white, and the windshield frame was painted black. Exterior hardware was re chromed, and replacement weatherstripping was added to the doors and the roll-up glass door windows.
This Jeep was also outfitter with a Meyers half cab, with removable doors. All glass is clear and free from cracks.
This CJ-5 is part of a private collection and is being rotated out, it will be shown by appointment only and is located at a different location other then the dealership.
Chrome finishes adorn the front bumper, the hinges for the windshield and the hood, the hood latches, the side mirror, and other trim. The tailgate features a drop-down license-plate holder. The windshield wipers have been converted to electric actuation and a heater was installed.
The working previous odometer showed 15k miles, while the replacement unit shows 550 miles, under current ownership it has been driven appox 30 miles.This Jeep is being sold tmu
Power is provided by a 134ci inline-four was factory rated at 75 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual gearbox and a dual-range Dana transfer case.
