The Jeep TJ Wrangler is the second generation of the Jeep Wrangler and 1997 was the first year for this generation, the TJ reintroduced the circular headlights that the classic Jeep models had been known for.

This 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport remained with its original owner from new for over 29 years and has a perfect Carfax history with no accidents, and a clean clear Illinois title. Powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six linked to a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range Command-Trac transfer case. The engine is quiet and smooth, the clutch engages and disengages with no chattering or slippage, all gears shift smoothly with no resistances. Transfer case of in and out of all ranges as it should.

Equipment includes a removable hardtop, 15 inch American Racing aluminum wheels, front disc brakes, ice cold air conditioning, a rear defroster, a padded roll bar, and a Alpine Bluetooth stereo. Upgraded personal touches include side steps, upgraded fender flares to accommodate the 30x9.50/15 tires, seat covers, all weather floor mats,rocker panel guards, corner guards.

The body is outstanding without the usual rusting issues in the tub, front fender and windshield frame. The underside has the original factory frame that has not been altered with welding or patching.
