The F-150's frame is fully boxed with eight crossmembers, made of more than three-quarters high-strength steel. That's over 50 percent more steel in the frame than the 2014 model.

Powered by a 3.5 liter V6 that gives great gas mileage and plenty of performance, this F150 is also a FLEX FUEL truck with means it runs on regular gas or E85. Flexible fuel vehicles (FFVs) are designed to run on gasoline or gasoline-ethanol blends of up to 85% ethanol (E85).1 Except for a few engine and fuel system modifications, they are identical to gasoline-only models. FFVs experience no loss in performance when operating on E85, and some generate more torque and horsepower than when operating on gasoline.
